Love Lane apparently earned its name from sailors who would visit their lovers here. Alternatively, it came from Chinese merchants who kept mistresses at the nearby Muntri Street.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This 300m street toward the northern tip of Georgetown is full of bougie cafes, bars and restaurants, offering a more refined palette compared to the humble hawkers of Chulia Street or Gurney Drive.
