MAS is coming to Chengdu!
True to its new motto of being the “gateway to Asia and beyond”, Malaysia Airlines will be bringing brand new flights to Chengdu.
Starting from Jan 9, 2026, seven weekly flights will depart for the southwestern Chinese metropolis at an all-in return fare of RM1,099.
Announced during MATTA Fair 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) managing director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail highlighted the increasing importance of their China destinations, which now total at seven.
Coming back after an absence of almost nine years, this is a welcome sign for an airline that had been seen to be struggling throughout the post-pandemic recovery.
