Another year, another iPhone.
The American tech giant has just announced their brand-new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models next to their “thinnest-ever” iPhone Air model.
Their sweet-17 line boasts a slew of upgrades including new thinner designs (with a glaring drawback), vastly improved battery charging and lifespan as well as a new ProMotion display that allows up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 boasts a spanking new A19 chip that promises to supports high-end mobile gaming, AI generation, and more.
On the camera side, the iPhone 17 will come with an upgraded suite of cameras including main, ultra-wide and new telephoto cameras utilizing 48MP sensors – great news for both travel photography beginners and enthusiasts.
Selfie-fanatics aren’t left out either, as the new Center Stage front camera features a larger square 18MP sensor that’s optimal for selfies and FaceTime video calls.
Powering all of these features and cameras will be iOS 26, an operating system optimized for AI and privacy.
Not only that, the iPhone 17 will be releasing alongside the iPhone Air as well.
Boasting a super slim 5.6mm width along with minimal compromises in power and camera features, this model will no doubt attract those looking for a featherweight iPhone.
Unfortunately, due to their slim designs, both the 17 and Air models will be eSIM only. Thankfully, most of the major Malaysian ISPs support eSIM activation. Using China-only apps won’t be much of problem either.
Speaking of Malaysia, all three models will be released on the same day as the US release – 19 September, with preorders beginning on 12 September at 8PM.
